Strangers

Bob Lefevre is the songwriter and guitar player for Laramie Wyoming band Ten Cent Stranger.
Bob writes most of our original tunes, though no one really wants to know his inspiration, for it will make you sad. He's also a dang good hockey coach, and a lover of rock and roll. You can find a bit of his rockin' tunes from other projects Bondurant or Bob Lefevre and the Already Gone, which just released a phenomenal new album. Look for the picture of the pheasant anywhere you listen today. Photo © Don Turner
Laniece Schleicher sings soulfully in Laramie Wyoming band Ten Cent Stranger.
Laniece brings a whole lot of soul to the group, and her powerful vocals were sought out in the band's earliest days. She's loves riding a mountain bike through the stands of aspen above Laramie, often finding a secluded piece of forest to swing in a hammock. A reader of people, she's quick to notice when something's on your mind and quicker to offer a helping word. She's recorded on over twenty studio albums, and you can find some of her more soulful singing with the Colorado band she fronts, Mama Lenny and the Remedy. Photo © Don Turner
Elianna Paninos sings and plays the banjo in the Laramie Wyoming band Ten Cent Stranger.
Elianna grew up singing and playing around the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains. Her silky sweet harmonies elevate the vocals of Ten Cent to a whole 'nother level, and she plays dang good banjo and jazzy guitar to boot! Her quick-witted, cheerful presence led to her band nickname Chickadee, which she may never live down. You might hear her accompanying her pops, old-timey fiddle player Mark Paninos. J Shogren plays the resonator guitar in the Wyoming band Ten Cent Stranger.
J Shogren learned to play the resonator for this band, and has become our local Reso master. He's often found wandering the high plains with his dog Apollo or educating young minds about the fallacy of the zero sum game as a distinguished professor at the University of Wyoming. You can hear more of his original music from his project J Shogren Shanghai'd. Photo © Don Turner
Jackson Clarendon plays the fiddle and mandolin in Laramie Wyoming band Ten Cent Stranger.
Jack asked for a violin for Christmas when he was three years old, but didn't want to take lessons. He just wanted to play. After fifteen years of classical training, it was clear the lessons were actually worth it. You'll now find him teaching fiddle, mandolin, and guitar to students in Laramie and virtually around the world and can hear a bit of his early work on mandolin and fiddle with his first band, Libby Creek Original. Mike Krupp plays the drums in Laramie Wyoming band Ten Cent Stranger.
Mike Krupp has been playing music since before a few of us were even born. He went to high school with notable members of Wilco, and could have made the band, but they weren't goin anywhere quick. Instead, he turned his attention to educating the youth of our town, henceforth known as Mr. Krupp. As a bonafide tasteful drummer, he's in high demand in our little town. We're lucky he's only got one side project at the moment, rocking out with Bob Lefevre and the Already Gone. Photo © Don Turner
Shawn Hess plays bass in Laramie Wyoming band Ten Cent Stranger.
Shawn will always be the finest dressed, saddest cowboy among the lot. He's perfected a thumpin' upright and a groovin' electric, and knows when to use each to their full potential. He's played in too many bands to count, but check out, in chronological order: Beatgrass; Harriman Exit; Elk Tongue; Tie Hack. He currently fronts the classic sounds of Country Skillet, and plays many a solo show. He's released one fantastic solo album called World Away, which you can find at a Spotify near you, and has a second effort in the works! Photo © Susan Moldenhauer
